The first thing he saw was blue.
It was like the sky. A deep blue sky without a sun or any clouds. It was very soothing to him.
The surface he lay on was cool and soft, like grass. It reminded him somewhat of the gentle arms that held him during the last few seconds of his life.
How can this be? I'm dead, aren't I?
"Fives?" A voice called out.
It was a familiar voice: that of a brother. The ARC trooper sat up, surprisingly without difficulty. "Where am I?" He asked.
"In the Manda," The voice said again. "where we all end up."
Turning around, Fives saw a trooper with scuffed-up armor standing nearby. "Who are you?"
The clone chuckled. "You've forgotten? I was known as the hero of the Rishi base."
Finally it clicked. "Hevy!" Fives rushed over to hug him, nearly knocking him over. "It's been such a long time, brother. How are the others?"
